Notuncoolish,
I really don't have a number, but I'm much more in your ballpark if it were to happen than the $1 number many of the "traders" on here would like to see.
Bottom line, I don't see BP taking them out in a buyout. I think there will be smaller deals for various indications as the next step. Someone will step up and agree to take them through phase III for a particular cancer. Someone else will be employed on the viral front. The options are immense.
The reason I think it'll go this route is that I don't think you'll see BP step up and pay the number you're thinking about without proof - ie. Phase III data. And, I think with Swartz involved, the PPHM management group is not willing to sell out for a small amount. Kind of like the guy that developed rollerblades and sold the rights for $1MM. You won't see PPHM making that mistake. Very frustrating for people who have been here a long time and want something to happen - now. But, I'm ok with it because my time horizon is longer term oriented and I'd rather wait for a big payday instead of selling out for less.
Regards,
WH
