Now THAT sounds like a nice player...

...a lot of good features and one that I would like to own (speaking strictly as a consumer).

Now whether we're involved of course cannot be known at this point, but allow me to offer some positive speculation.

1. The timing is about right for a device of this kind (mainly according to last December's webcast, I think).

2. Its features seem in line with what what has been suggested (combination audio/video, O1000 form factor, high quality - able to display on a TV as well as the integrated 3.5 inch screen, and of course, multi-codec, and DivX).

3. MP-2000 sounds kind of familiar. Wasn't that the name for our old Maycom credit card player? I also thought I heard that Maycom was still very much involved with EDIG. Could Maycom be building this for Apex?

I know they're just dots, but I can dream, can't I?
