I think you'll be glad you were not able to short. Regardless, your Broker must have the shares to be able to short them. Typically, they have a list of "shortable" stocks. SInce the ban on shorting a few months back, brokers are a lot more careful with shorting.

Anyhow, wild swings on this, I've hit my profit target three times, and my stop/loss once.
