Nonetheless AMD is selling every 64 bit processor assigned to desk top computers that it has chosen to make.


Maybe this is why they're holding prices at these levels.

Someone has to be educating folks on the benefits of A64 though.
I imagine that the average person looks for Intel Inside and
price.

What's the scoop on notebooks? A good case can be made for A64
there too unless you really want a feather.

The devil is in the details...the AMD64 part has an awful lot of performance, and just released data indicates that in the US, the Athlon 64 Mobile has been the best selling lap top in retail so far this year. I understand that retailers cannot keep it in inventory.
