Normally the whole core is not assayed, the Geologist locates the veins or interesting sections of the core splits it and sends to two competing labs. Assays take anywhere from a week to several months depending on the type of analysis and how busy the lab is. gold fire assays are quick and common. Arizona has several good assay labs, used them my self.

It takes a while. SRSR, for example, is doing core sample drilling right now for their niobium project. That started about 10 days ago and should continue out through the next couple of months for all of the core samples planned. The assay results could extend out up to six months depending on how busy the lab is.

Does anyone Know the process of how an Assay company would handle a 120foot core and hwo long it would take to provide an Assat report?
