How long before one of these Efficeon micro-PCs add some solar cells to the outside case to prolong (and/or recharge) the battery. Can it be done? Some calculators can do pretty well with very little light.
Good call on the solar cells. I hope that this is the future direction. I remember when the first LED digital watches were introduced in the late 70s - you had to press a button in order to see the time. Number one short-term order of business is to fine-tune the classic Crusoe enough in order to obtain good enough performance reviews when the first generation MPCs become public later this year. Unfortunately the Crusoe has now become a short-term crutch to effecion and we don't want to lose these devices to Intel like we did the HP TPC or it is really truly over (IMOP). That said, I don’t really think it will ever be over…
I've seen the OQO website and I think the product looks awesome except for the apparent lack of an expansion slot, which means there is no way to connect to the internet via a cellular netwok. I think the capability to connect anywhere is a must have for a product such as this.
