Why would Dr. Pandey put money together to buy 5-HMF? And if he did, how would that benefit Xechem shareholders? If he buys it, it'll go to his own company since he's only a board member of Xechem. Quite frankly, he'd have better luck calling VCU and negotiating a new license out from underneath Swift and Xechem. BUT, none of that makes sense to the shareholders or Xechem, only Dr. Pandey and those of us working with him since he started "moving forward". I'd love to see him do it, but right now we are focused on keeping Xechem alive and benefitting everyone that's been loyal to the company all these years.
As someone else said though, 5-HMF isn't as important to Xechem as Nicosan is. I personally don't want to see Xechem lose the license (or sell it), but if it can't be stopped, it's not end of story for Xechem. Nicosan is a sellable product, nobody really knows at this point what it's going to take to make something marketable out of 5-HMF. Well, I shouldn't say "nobody", I should say that I have no idea, I'm sure there are many that are a lot smarter than I am that do know what to do or what direction to take it...
Got another 3 hour car ride to the west side of the Wisconsin, enjoy your Friday folks, hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.
