We need apps

What many don't think about is that the shoe is on the other
foot today with AMD platforms getting the better optimization
out of the box.

Right now, AMD chips suffer from Pentium optimization in most
apps. While AMD runs the apps fine, it is suboptimal for the
customer. With Windows 64, you get the hardware improvements
but also tailored code which should be a big win for performance.

BTW, got by the MAKE problem with a workaround from a CYGWIN
hacker. Seems Windows 64 Itanium has the same problem.
