Bob -- we got some attn. and interested people who can make things happen. Pls. read MARINE-1 post 674,5,6 and address any response directly to him via PM !
So now this WAR HERO, who was so willing to give his life for his country is being evicted; thrown into the street on the day most of us will be celebrating, eating turkey, and giving thanks. We all have something to thank him for, but will we? Is this the way we treat our HEROES?

Call your Rep. in Congress On November 17th, 2008 wisen says:
They usually like, and have the authority to intervene in situations like this.
It's just a shame that it's after the election. They are always more helpful just before elections.
Call in to your local radio show and ask veterans to call the Rep. The more calls the better.

when I lived and travelled all over the USA On November 17th, 2008 legalizeliberty says:
I met many homeless veterans I don't understand how your country can leave a guy in a wheelchair on the street and his most prized asset being the cowboyboots.
A friends husband told me and everybody he was a Navy Veteran, his son too. When he was dying the VA said he was never in the service and he died in a Catholic nursing home.
Judging by his rank he wasn't in the service that long and would put in question him having both the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. You can have only one, not both for Vietnam. I know because that is my case.
Something ain't right !

You are correct in telling us On November 17th, 2008 Hannah2 says:
that checking up on its legitimacy and making sure it checks out with the records. I have passed on your message to the writer of the message.
She responded first off with this message: Just in case he does end up losing his home. You can send any correspondence/contributions to Armando Leguillow c/o Gladys Williams 1522 Unionport Road #5H, Bronx, NY 10462. Wow that was really fast. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Gladys
Personally I have no way of checking out the records as it appears that one needs to be somehow related to the person. If there is a way around it you might know how.
Anyhow, I posted her message with the best of faith in her sincerity. Having had quite a bit to do with Vietnam Veterans here in Australia, I do know that there are veterans who seem to 'miss the boat' so to speak.

Any idea how much his immediate need is? When is he scheduled to be evicted? No friends or family to take him in, at least temporarily? Homeless shelter? Church group?
