#6219 RE: twk000jester #6150

Newly formed Canopius Bermuda Class 3; Lasalle Re was also reclassified as Class 3 -- both happened in 2007

wasn't Lasalle Re reclassified as a Class 3 reinsurer as of the last quarter of 2007? Canopius Bermuda was formed last year as a Class 3 reinsurer also

The Hamilton-based operation will comprise Canopius Underwriting Bermuda, which will write business on behalf of Lloyd's of London Syndicate 4444, and Canopius Bermuda, a Class 3 reinsurance company with initial capital of $250 million.

3. LaSalle Re Limited (“LaSalle”)

LaSalle, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, is a Bermudian Class 3 registered reinsurance company (in December 2007 LaSalle successfully applied to the Bermuda Monetary Authority to have the Company reclassified from a Class 4 to a Class 3 reinsurer pursuant to the Bermuda Insurance Act 1978) and has been in run-off since 2002.
