Correct!

Somehow both options where only 1 is the bad guy make the other one very naive ... so somehow they must be running this scam together.

If things happen the way Pedro says, Pedro is taking action way too late and he was naive to trust MT.

If it happened the way MT said, he should have felt something was wrong long time ago when Pedro kept on refusing to transfer money out of the exchange.

So: they both did it.
