HULU is owned by NBC and Fox. NBC is owned by General Electric. Fox is owned by News Corporation (think Rupert Murdoch and Peter Chernin here and if you don't know who they are, google them both).
No one should underestimate HULU ... they have the hottest television content fresh off the network and are a free ad based site. They seem to be knocking everyone else by the wayside at the moment and IMO are probably the most important competitor to watch.
