If indeed Don Ramon is not yet producing, it may well be due to the slide in prices of silver, zinc and lead, the 3 primary metals contained within the ore. In case you haven't read, a good number of producing mines worldwide, especially zinc, have been shutting down over the past couple months due to the collapse in prices.
Is it Rich's fault that both zinc and lead have fallen from near $2.00 to about 50 cents a pound? Is it Rich's fault that silver has fallen from $20 to $10 per ounce? I didn't think so. Rich may see the only wise choice is to wait out this period of low prices, rather than commence production and lose money due to low prices.
