The Demographics are right for the time. Timing is EVERYTHING!! You've got the first SERIOUS African / American Presidential candidate that is receiving 94% of the African / American vote, etc., etc.
Do you remember a clothing line called FUBU (For Us, By Us)? African / Americans are VERY loyal to African / Americans and their causes and or products. I am not trying to suggest anything that may be misconstrued as racial, but I am injected a strong dose of reality here.
African / Americans will, and do, strongly support the Music, Videos, Movies and YES, The DRINK CHOICES of Celebrity African / Americans. IMO, DR. DRE and "50 CENT" have taken it much further than Celebrity. They are looked at as heros in terms of their POWER and WEALTH due to tireless efforts in ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS attaining MOGUL status!!
