Actually, there is a tiny bit of truth in this post. Valerie Plame is a Democrat, and hoped to derail the Iraq War. Obviously she wasn't so worried about her cover as to shrink from trying to play politics. Both she and her husband had made the maximum contribution allowed to Gore. Her husband was openly anti Iraq war and served on Clintons's National Security Council. Wilson did not publicly comment on his Africa trip until 6 months after Bush's state of the union speech, and 2 months after he joined the Kerry campaign. His book frankly reveals that he did little to no real digging when he got to Africa, he was already satisfied that there was no truth to the story. The CIA did not accept his finding as definitive, and he has not disproved anything.
This is not a coup in the sense that anyone is being overthrown. This is an attempt by one part of the CIA to embarass the administration and CIA directorship. They succeeded in the latter (though I don't believe this really has anything to do with Tenet's decision, but is embarassing that Wilson would have been sent on a CIA paid trip). The more I see and hear Joseph Wilson, the phonier he appears, what a blowhard.
