Before GM and ford were banking off of SUVs and trucks. Not much alt. energy research. Maybe they were taking their time thinking that this speculation run on oil wouldn't have been so soon.

I don't see where it says charging in 10 minutes. But that's not off your everyday power outlet. I think Tesla said it could take overnight to charge on regular electric power, or they would set up a different outlet

TESLA: "Plug your Tesla Roadster into its at-home High Power Connector unit, and you'll be fully charged in about 3.5 hours. But we consider this a "worst case" for someone starting with a completely dead battery. Even after a 100-mile trip, you can be completely charged in less than two hours"

LIGHTNING: "Standard single phase home type power source can be used to charge overnight and is available just about anywhere by using the onboard charger. For a fast charge a 3 phase power supply is required and with the interest in electric powered vehicles increasing significantly, more high power charging stations will be installed."

Both nice looking cars, thats for sure.

how much does that one cost?
