Pers - maybe they were optimistic and expected the pps to climb substantially higher, maybe back to .70 which might be better or at least comparable to a RS.

IMO, they are expecting substantially more money from a sale of the co or from revenue some time in the near future and why bother with the additional expense of a RS if the future looks brighter, due to sales revenue, increased pps or sale of the company.

YA will probably get the same bounce (increased pps reduces the number of shares they own) they need without the RS, if the patent issues are favorably resolved.

I am reasonably certain that they also had an eye on the current economy issues - as in a RS, in which the economy issues might take them right back to where the pps is now so why bother expanding the funds/cost of paper work in order to effect a doomed RS.

An RS at this time is a worthless exercise and waste of funds -as it serves no purpose except to P/O shareholders. In fact it would be a down right stupid thing for them to attempt at this time.

Maybe they also considered the fact that the laughter and jokes at this stupid move, would never stop!
