I used to get an occasional PM while I was working at Silicon Investor telling me the "I don't like Spam!!!" sound file in my profile had either startled them out of their wits, or woke up their family in the wee hours.

The shoe ended up on the other foot last night when I was working on adding support for embedded sounds and forgot that I had the stereo (connected to the computer) cranked up to about 11 or so from my earlier jamming along (on bass) with a bunch of Rush songs I've got in MP3 format.

It was made all the worse by my having taken out all the bass on the equalizer and cranking up the mid-range and treble.
