yes, 'XBrit' ... I agree with everything you said.
My TA System has been working great ...
but that does not mean ALL indicators/TA work all of the time.
Part of what makes any system/TA work is experience with it
and knowing how to use it very well and sticking to the Plan
and be cool in the face of the heat.
So, I don't think there is one answer as to whether or not TA works ...
it also depends on the trader using the TA and on their other skills such as trade-management, etc.
I don't look at the tick by tick indicators, because they
obviously will not work during the few minutes after Lehman goes bankrupt ...
but knowing how to step back and calmly look at the
broader picture makes TA still work.
So, I hope I've confused you enough ...
or hopefully given you my answer and I'm sure you do understand what I'm saying.
