I don't think the properties mentioned are his residence or the adjoining lot to his residence. The Lots 1-5 mentioned are the restaurant property, the Lots 37&38 mentioned are a set of lots comprising 1.97 acres in Defuniak Springs that he got a zoning variance for last year from Residential usage to C-1 usage.
His note on the restaurant is $2.4 million, and as you know the restaurant is currently being operated by another party. It would not surprise me that Beebe is collecting rent on the property from the operator, all the while not paying on the note, cause I've heard that is the way pieces of @#$@ operate across this great land of ours.
Knowing the restaurant is not worth what he owes on it ($2.4 million,) rather than just getting foreclosed on, bring someone else in to provide some cash infusion to line his own pockets a bit more, then walk away so the screw job is on someone else. Right up Beebe's ally, screw others and profit personally. What a slimeball.
The other property is probably also not worth what is owed on it, so rather than living up to his own obligations, he probably just see's it as a good business decision to make others pay for his mistakes and weak financial decisions.
I hope that those that can will find every last nickel that he has stolen and stashed away. He won't need it anyway, at best, I would guess, he has ~18 months before he is in prison for a very long time. His family must be so proud of him for all he has accomplished. Would it surprise anyone that his wife's Mercedes gets repossessed next, and his daughter gets kicked out of school for non tuition payments?
