Roche’s right of first negotiation for the ex-US rights to every drug in DNA’s pipeline has a contractual expiration date. (I think it’s 2015, but don’t quote me.)

This right of first negotiation is the single most consequential element of the existing Roche-DNA relationship and it is largely responsible for Roche’s strong performance during the past decade.
