Small Businesses and the $11K Call
Monday September 29, 4:35 am ET

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For many small business owners, telemarketing is a vital marketing tool for raising awareness and boosting sales. With telemarketing-driven sales increasing 50% over the last five years, accounting for $900 billion worth of goods and services in 2006 alone, small business owners find themselves needing to leverage this practice in order to survive.

The cost of complying with federal Do-Not-Call (DNC) legislation, however, can be daunting. Compliance comes with a price – the price of software upgrades, training personnel, and implementing practices that adequately cleanse inaccurate call list information. And these business expenses do not include fines imposed for calls placed to DNC-restricted numbers, inadvertent or otherwise, fines that can add up to $11,000 or more per call!

“Given the current economic landscape, it is imperative that small businesses maximize every opportunity for sales while avoiding extraneous expenditures,” says Dean Garfinkel, CEO of Compliance Systems Corporation (OTCBB: COPI - News), a telecom service company focused on providing compliance technologies. Garfinkel offers the following advice to small businesses that telemarket:

Document Your Work. Comprehensive and clearly documented “good-faith” efforts in the name of Do-Not-Call (DNC) compliance can help ensure against haphazard inquiries by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC).
Protect Your Brand. Recognize that you are still accountable for the compliance of freelancers, salespeople in the field, or outsourced employees working under your company umbrella. The negative publicity gained from irresponsible calls can earn you costly fines sabotaging your customer-base expansion efforts.
Compliance Is Imperative. Firewall your phones with a DNC blocking service, especially one that provides third party verification.
Compliance’s flagship, patent-protected product, TeleBlock®, automatically screens and blocks outbound calls against federal, state and in-house Do-Not-Call lists. The company’s Regulatory Guide is available to online subscribers and is regularly updated with all pertinent DNC information. As telemarketing sales continue to grow, companies such as Compliance Systems continue to prove that the investment required for small businesses to protect their brand from DNC liability need not be prohibitive.

“In our history, we’ve never had a client place even a single call in violation of DNC lists,” says Garfinkel. “There are plenty of companies that, in hindsight, would have been glad to pay for a service like ours instead of facing the massive legal battles and fines levied for improper calls.” For more information, log onto: www.callcompliance.com.

More fiction... re"

copi's 3rd Quarter ENDS TOMORROW,
without any hint , in many months, that 'revenues'
may have increased, OR , cash burning may have slowed.
In Fact, there is Proof that copi expenses keep Increasing,
with the new 'sales guy' + helpers + 'bankers' + 'IR guys' ,
ALL of whom ADD ~ZERO TO REVENUES ,

Let's see... ATT added as a distributor and ShoreTel added as a distributor... but that's not a "hint"
that revenues have increased??

LMAO

Ha ha ha ha re"We shorters"

I believe "you shorters", who, of course we don't believe there are any short positions, other than an overnight market maker temporary short position, because of this link....

http://www.otcbb.com/asp/OTCE_Short_Interest.asp

But anyway.... if you did short last time at .009 as you claimed... then you were wiped out for the 25th time as COPI doubled again on the ATT NEWS last week...

So whatever - extra - no one believes your repetitive same old non-sensical posts any more...

I really just laugh and laugh when I see em...

As always, and more, I'm EXTRA EXTRA long in COPI shares!

#43954 RE: extra #43937

Actually COPI has never been better! Remember this.....

The Company is encouraged by recent sales gains and reductions in its operating shortfall of gross margin to selling, general and administrative expenses. Under favorable sales, cost and expense projections, the Company anticipates its operations may become cash-flow neutral during the second quarter of fiscal 2008. The Company expected to successfully complete its search for a Vice President of Sales and Marketing during the third quarter 2007 and, accordingly, anticipated that it would be cash-flow neutral during the first quarter 2008. However, the fact that this position was filled later than expected required the Company to revise its projection of cash-flow neutrality by one quarter. Until cash-flow neutral operations are attained, of which there can be no assurance, additional capital will be required to finance current operations as well as any growth.

And... as always... a link to the above filing is provided..

http://secfilings.nasdaq.com/filingFrameset.asp?FileName=0001144204%2D07%2D060880%2Etxt&FilePath=%5C2007%5C11%5C14%5C&CoName=COMPLIANCE+SYSTEMS+CORP&FormType=10QSB&RcvdDate=11%2F14%2F2007&pdf=

Ok, the stock ran to .11 on these "cash flow neutral" projections...

They hired a VP of Sales and Marketing... but he didn't work out.... and a major HUGE DISTRIBUTOR contract... fell through...

So... the stock pulled back...

Now... almost a year later....

We have the new VP of Sales and Marketing, and WE HAVE THE NEW HUGE CONTRACT.... so.... will COPI be profitable soon???
