So to correct it it would have to be:

85,000,000,000,000/200,000,000 = $425,000.00

remove 8 zeros from numerator and denominator
850,000/2 = $425,000.00

Can you even imagine this number?: 85,000,000,000,000

Figure this.

12/31/1999 Total US debt was 5,776,091,314,225.33

9/24/2008 Total US debt was 9,788,080,661,828.23

That is about a 4 TRILLION rise, which is about 20,000 per person as in my last post.

Did the average American save anywhere near $20,000 in those 9 years?

1 Bil (european) = 1,000,000,000,000

85 Bil = 85,000,000,000,000

divided by 200,000,000 = 425,000
