I have no doubt that the Energy Commander works. It's literally a piston-based engine, just like the old steam engines. It's not a complex machine.

The problem will be finding all those free sources of wasted flow. The only useful place would be at a dam site and other people already know about that and hydro turbines are already put anywhere where they make sense.

The EC V could replace a hydro turbine--except that the EC V costs more, can't stay lubricated and is much less efficient since there are many more parts than a hydro turbine, all rubbing against each other. The EC V is a lose-lose-lose product. If there's a dam site where it doesn't make sense to put a hydro turbine, it certainly won't make sense to put an EC V.
