...TIV is hardly correlated with the market, it is hard not to move with a market making such a big gain (or loss, it was also down when the market had big down days earlier).
Also, the stock was already up considerably when late in the day the company issued another fluffy press release which seemed to propell it even higher. The release had nothing substantial in it and yet the stock apparently reacted to it.
I'm happy I got a sell-side trade executed today. Shorting is difficult now but it is for events like this that regulators should not prevent short selling. This needs to be corrected otherwise bubbles will continue to grow and ultimately burst. That is not desireable in any market and shorts do a lot to prevent or at least mitigate bubbles.
Oh yeah, it should be noted, again, that Lynn is a horrible manager who continues to mislead investors.
