Indeed, right on the money, this housing situation is the worst of it. It's where people live for God's sake! Or DID live. Where do they go now? What's rentable or leasable near their work? What level have the rent/lease prices risen to?

I say 18 months, minimum, for the housing situation to begin to resolve. Gonna be a suck butt 2009. Housing starts at a 17 year low? Gag me! Lol!

still believe that the whole thing hinges on the housing crisis, and until that begins to resolve itself positively that we're in for a rough and bumpy ride.

It's tempting to see each new development as an end to this but underlying it ALL is the mortgage crisis, and that's still in freefall mode

Bet this AGI bailout is going to forestall the auto industry getting the loans they want from the Fed...When is enough enough is the word from most talking heads and politician's and columnists, ect.
