A "World Patent" doesn't exist.

Even within EU you have to apply to each and every country.

sorry but this is not correct. today there is no problem getting a patent. if there i something unique with your patent you can get it and if there is noe claim against the filing. And there is no such thing as a world patent and thats why it is difficult to determine who was first and so on. If I filed somethin in Norway 10 years ago, then you could have gotten the same patent 2-3 years ago and without me finding out, but when i find it out i can use my patent as a proof in court.
