Yes, the commercial is eye candy, but it's mainstream eye candy. Not like those disastrous dot-com commercials that were designed purely to be gross or stupid, on the theory that "memorable" doesn't have to associate with "attractive". Gee. That worked, huh...
At this point, with nobody on the networks saying "part of the Go network", *any* publicity for Go.Com is going to raise traffic and legitimize the site, especially in the face of the riptide in website advertising. And since it's not "I wish they'd stop running this stupid commercial" publicity, it might have some legs.
Speaking of Legs, Kuzco the Magnificent (or whatever they're calling it) is killing at the box office. Who else wants to see SEEK^H^H^H^H DIG start up a daily Kuzco the Llamanimous online comic strip to pull eyeballs to the mind-control devi--er, website? Who else is 99.997% certain that they won't think of this?
