Jakob Nielsen, co-founder of the Nielsen Norman Group and a specialist in Web usability, speculates that computers 30 years from now will be at least one million times more powerful, which equates to a 3PHz CPU speed, a petabyte (a thousand terabytes) of memory, half an exabyte (a billion gigabytes) of hard disk-equivalent storage, a quarter terabit (a trillion binary digits) per second Internet connection and a 20,000 pixels by 10,000 pixels display.
