The gold vs. silver discrepancy is very interesting, isn't it Popeye. Gold's been struggling the last month or so as well, but not nearly as much as silver. Is silver going under $10 again? IMO I doubt it, but in this crazy, f'd-up market, I wouldn't rule it out...not just because of the manipulation, but also from the fact that everything is selling off right now...
By the way, I heard yesterday that FNM and FRE are getting taken over by the government, meaning yet another thing for us the taxpayers to pay for (could end up being hundreds of billions of dollars I heard). I wonder how this news will affect the markets next week; more tanking across the board I would think.
