#29945 RE: bdahl385 #29942

My point was actually, that if one wants to cherry pick and present info to help their cause the data can be presented in a way that meets any agenda.

Of course Bush and McCain are more aligned with each other just as Obama and the Dems are more aligned.

Obviously Obama and Bush are not legislative soul mates. lol

Obama voted almost 100% of the time in a given cycle of time with the Dems and the Dems helped Bush right into Iraq and then they ran for the hills as soon as the political breezes shifted. So I guess I can say that Obama aligned himself with a party that was not principled when they voted to help us all into Iraq. Then his party went on to call our troops every name in the book. (Remember when the left put us into Vietnam and then the left spit on our troops when they came home)

Remember, Pres. Clinton, most of the Dems and 90% of the planet including Russia, France and Germany all believed that Iraq/WMDs were a threat but quickly chose to play politics with the issue when it suited them. Principles had nothing to do with the way the Dems handled the Iraq War.

Obama bet the Iraq situation would go bad so he voted against. He figured, so what if I'm wrong, no real loss to Obama. lol If I'm right I can milk it politically.

So, what if history ultimately shows that the Iraq War was the successful, principled route to go. Where will that leave Obama. With plenty of book deals and adoring fans. That's where. And Bill Clinton can say, hey wait a minute you guys, I dropped some bombs on Iraq too! Shouldn't I (Clinton) get some credit? And the beat goes on.
