Apple store
I visited Roni's local Apple Store yesterday (Washington Mall, Tigard, Ore.). Bob the Genius was stumped with my printer driver thru Bluetooth question. Lots of Apple employees available. I had to seek them out to ask any kind of question.
Why is my impression that some of us are more passionate about Macs than Apple's employees? Sometimes during visits to MacWorld or Apple Stores I come away believing the employees don't use the product themselves. On the other hand, Apple's culture is so top down my expectations that any positive feedback might make it back up the ladder is likely miss placed. For example, I showed a couple of store employees the little bluetooth mouse I had in my jacket pocket and suggested they carry something like it. No interest!
My real purpose for the Apple store visit was to check out digital cameras. I ended up buying an Olympus 8 megapixel C-8080 from the Shutter Bug store in the same mall. It is probably a little overkill for a point and shoot camera. Maybe, I'll grow into it!
