One of the key statements for me was:

BM: Same everything. Same chips, same everything. We run apps on 32-bit Windows, and then take those same apps and run them on 64-bit Windows, and you'll get about an 8 percent performance improvement on average

I remember long heated discussions here several months ago where the intel fans were trying to claim 64 bits would not improve performance. 8% is a pretty significant boost in performance.

It looks like we are moving from Wintel to Dave's world. Dave Cuttler may be the architect (or significant contributor) not only to the current mainstream OS (Windows NT and its descendants) but hardware (CPU to run it) too.

BTW, Dave Cuttler delivered glowing entorsement or Hammer when it was unveiled 2 years ago. The small exhibition at the annual shareholder meeting had the video running on most of the monitors.

Does anyone recall/have a link to the multimedia presentation that Cutler did on Opetron a year or two ago(more like 2)? In light of today's realities, it might be informative to watch that again.
