IMO the real issue is not the technical difficulty of the undertaking (as you correctly point out), but rather making this a high priority political objective... Sounds to me like that is now taking place with the establishment of a commission with a December 2008 deadline for providing specific recommendations... There seems to be real support for numerous wind and clean biomass renewable projects among the politicians who recognize the urgent need for economic stimulus and diversification of the regional business base... IMO several new biomass projects will be approved and a combination of local and regional sources of biomass will increase the supply of biomass to meet the increased demand (as has proven to be the case in the past)...
