In fairness to Nolan though....

He built Atari with $500 and a rather unconventional way.
He built Etek which was the company that developed the backbone that Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, Mapquest, etc. still use today. It certainly wasn't a powerhouse hi-tech company with a monster budget.

So who knows.
