I BELIEVE YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG AGAIN !!!!
READ THIS CAREFULLY....
If you are going to look closely on the whitepaper of CLYW you will notice that there is indeed a server/gateway in between the ISP and the Cellular provider.
What this ASNAP server/gateway does is that it functions like a HLR/VLR in the cellular world but with some changes.
Think about this...Let us assume that TAINAOR is in the Wi-Fi hot spot...isn't it that you are getting an IP Address after you have been authenticated by the ISP, right??? This IP Address is the only way that you will be identified in the IP Network ...right???...Also the only way that your cellphone will be recognized by the cellular network is after your phone register itself in the network...you can clearly identify this scenario because everytime you turn on your cellphone you will see in the screen of your phone which service provider is providing you the service because the name of the service provider appears in the screen of your phone...and if this happens...it will mean that your cellphone has registered it self in the network...your phone is identified in the cellular network using your cellphone number...Now if you are using your so called SMARTPHONES, and I wanted to call YOU just to say "HI"...what number should I dial? Your IP Address or your Cellphone Number??? Remember that if you are connected to the internet and you are mobile/roaming you are getting a different IP Address all the time...right??? So again what number do I need to dial then??? Your answer is right...I have to use your CELLPHONE number otherwise there is no other way I will be able to reach you from outside...Here is another one...if I call you from outside using my cellphone or using a traditional phone (at home or at phone booth)...do you think I can dial your IP Address using these phones...wrong!!! And again if I am using the traditional phone to call you do you think, my call will go directly to the ISP after my call was processed by the PSTN (public switch telephone network)....wrong again!!! My calls will go from PSTN to the Cellular Network and to your phone...now since you are in the Wi-Fi Hot Spots and you are using an IP Address in the network how will you be able to recieve my call??? Now answer this...where does your MOBILE IP comes into play in this scenario???
The ASNAP server will be the key element to identify the ASNAP powered phone and this will inform both Network whether it is ISP or Cellular Service provider that this particular IP Address is tied to this particular cellphone number, this will constantly update it's database in order to get the latest IP Address of the mobile phone user when he is roaming. This server will also inform both ISP and Cellular service provider the location of the Phone whether it is in the Wi-Fi hot spot or in the Cellular Network for proper switching of phone calls and cross billing of the network usage.
Again for the LAST time TAINAOR...if you will post, please make sure you understand what you are posting...I hate to say this but please... DO NOT JUST CUT AND PASTE if you don't know what you are talking about...again my apologies for saying that but I believe it is true...
Peace !!!
