#3043 RE: spokeshave #3040

spokeshave . . .

YP)
This is all normal healthy behavior for a stock, and experienced investors should expect it.

MP)
I would hope it does not continue to become too healthy using your standards. Corrections yes, continued deep correction on good news, no, not part of a healthy stock, following such an important release, IMHO. And not to be expected at the open on the day we learn of a successful prototype or telco contract either. Down from 1.79 to 1.20. No, not healthy.

As for the the PR and Cooper's appointment as CEO, there is no bad way to interpret that. It is all good. You seem rather hung up on the timing and/or presentation. I cannot find fault with it. Actually, I think the timing was quite good. It was a good announcement that will undoubtedly add fuel to the momentum fire for the share price. Yesterday's correction was inevitable, whether there was a PR or not.

MP)
Good news when presented correctly, moves the PPS up and supports the current price. That is why it is called good. The replacement of any CEO or CFO signals immediate caution to prudent investors. Time is needed by them to evaluate and accept the potential change being contemplated, before it is a done deal. That promotes order. That is why the 'when' and 'how' it is presented is so very important. The market hates surprises. Perception is everything.

The unnecessary release of substantial news during a bubble is not prudent. The use of good news and good presentation toward the end or after a natural correction is more appropriate.

I find it interesting that this very announcement was what you seemed to be seeking in a post just a few days ago when you said:

"It is good to hear we are being guided to our destination by experts that have been there before. I hope management delegates the responsibility and necessary power to those experts . . . and then stays out of their way and lets them do their job!" (#2807)

MP)
Correct, this is EXACTLY the type of news I had hoped to hear and hope to continue to hear. Only it should have been presented in the proper way and at the proper time, especially when dealing with the CEO. Good, material news from this company is much to rare a commodity to squander in this manner.
