What about the shops in the rural areas? Did you see the pictures on their website? Those aren't hot dog stands. I was under the impression, from reading Haroizi's business plan, that rural areas were there focus.

Are you trying to tell me I made bad investments in "Dairymart" and "UDF". "hotdog corners" I'll forward that on to them.

Store sizes.

leole, I realize you're a friend of GL, but try to do a little more research before making statements of "fact."

Most of these shops are very very small and for people who know NYC these shops are more looking like the hot-dogs corners avaible in any streets than something else.

Hot dog stands? No way. GL stores are also quite a bit larger than the avg NYC bodega.

Good Life China stores:

Standard store sizes are 100 sq. meters (1,076 sq ft) per location.

The above doesn't include the combo stores with Petro China.

As recently as 20 June the company landed a sales contract with Petro China Oil Company, implementing 512 Gas station/convenient store combo's. The sales contract with this Beijing oil giant will bring that number to 800 in 2008.

Current plans call for the Company to expand to 4,000 franchised stores in 2008, and reach upwards of up to 15,000 locations by the end of 2010.

FYI: 7-Eleven

Avg store size: 2,400 square feet.

More than 25,000 7-Eleven stores worldwide with 5,300 in the United States.

Revenue: $12.2 Billion
