Wrong, We tried and convicted people for violating certain human rights even in war. When you are engage in combat, you do your best to kill the enemy. But when he or she surrenders you don't torture them. Are you saying that what the other side did by beheading the American was okay because it was war. Of course you're not. It was wrong. It was appalling. And we should bring those people to justice. But we don't bring terrorists to justice by abusing prisoners who may or may not be terrorists.
And I am more than a little out of bounds with my reaction to IOWN, but even if I am, that doesn't excuse what happened in those prisons, it doesn't excuse the kill them all slogans, nor does it excuse let's kick everyone out of the US who doesn't agree with me.
