Those posts about XTO, Chesapeake, Devon, etc are not comparing those companies to Hemi... they are discussing the realationship between Hemi and those companies, AND/OR the direct impact the activities of those companies on Hemi, and Hemi's plans and strategies.
One other problem with comparing the bourbon arch in one county with the bourbon arch in another county, is that if you look at the isopach maps you'll see for yourself how widely things can vary from one county to the next.
Where there are 14 CBM formations in some counties, most of Hemi's experience has turned up around 5 formations when they drill. Woodson county varies dramatically just from East to West... you'd be hard pressed to find any bourbon arch on the West end of the county.
All I mean by pointing out the variances in the Bourbon Arch is that to have any reasonable accuracy, you end up having to examine specific locations.
There have also been hints that with some of the newer wells, the CBM formations are thicker under Hemi's leases than the isopach map might lead you to believe... They've been consistant under Hemi's leases, which is great for Hemi... But 40 miles away isn't likely to have much bearing, other than casual observation.
