No doubt - Just now the 12Z HWRF model is showing CAT 2 Landfall north of Tampa Bay near the Big bend or armpit of Florida.

Notice the trend here on these 12Z models is this further west movement with most now coming in north of Tampa giving it nearly another 12-18 hours over open water.

I'm hoping it does move west for the way it is coming the hardest winds and rain will hit our area just south of Tampa.

I totally agree. I think it will continue to slide west of the projected path. The warm water in the gulf acts as miracle grow for hurricanes. Will hit land as CAT 3 most likely IMHO.
