Persecution does not segregate itself to one particular race, religion, or sexual preference. No doubt the women's movement was a form of persecution revolution which resulted in the right to vote and the right to make decisions regarding their body. Statistically, I believe they made up 60% of our population. The point here is that, in recent times, we are in the midst of religious and non-religious backlash which led to tonight's program. Is the word 'God' not easily removed from the pledge and in schools, or the Capitals, on the walls of the Supreme Court, and our greenbacks? The truth is this: the more we debate religion, the more it will spread like a small fire that when sparks fly they have a tendency to light up greater fires. If I were a theorist and philosopher I might just assume God designed it this way on purpose and we are the fools fighting something we cannot humanly control. The pendulum is swinging. We need to ask ourselves, why is it swinging, what makes religion such an important part of every political race? Why can't these Christians quit wearing their religion on their sleeves? The answer is, they can't. It's not their predisposition to uproot their fundamental belief system that engages their every life experience. Thoughts?
