Why would this be a "surprise" since they are announcing the changeover more than two months before it happens. If they had announced that Cooper had suddenly and unexpectedly taken over today, it would demonstrate instability but this seems like an orderly transition to an exec with more experience.

While I agree that current management has made more than their fair share of mistakes, I don't think this is one of them.

NOT THE WAY TO DO IT!!!!!Twister I agree 100% the MKT does not like to be blindsided and thats what this appears to be.Yes it had been rumored that when the right person came along Ray would step aside and IMHO Cooper could be that man.As you stated, because of the way this was handled a red flag does climb the pole. I would have expected Elite people to have recommended a different approach but as we all know ...you can lead the horse to water but can`t make him drink. Long and strong S&E
