Just my opinion on ASFX and Scottrade and NITE but they have to this point never given a concrete valid explanation for restricting ASFX or other stocks in the past.

I ask Scottrade Thursday to have them clarify why I can not buy SIVC online or by phone and the rep. checked with his supervisor and originally said it was because it cost to much to allow buys and they only allow sells.

I shot that out of the water when I said it costs the same commission for buys and sells and he ask his supervisor and the explanation was that in order to buy SIVC a person needs to have more money on hand than the original investment. Bogus explanation again IMHO.

I share the above because I do feel it relates to ASFX because I think that NITE is short ASFX and when I have ask about ASFX I get similar explanations from Scottrade. They even laugh now when I call in my trades because the majority are restricted.

You watch the action on ASFX on Thursday and before and then on Friday and it just continues to show me with this stock and others in the past that their appears to be manipulation thus NITE asks Scottrade (Connection between the two IMHO) to restrict the stock so they can take it down and cover the short and then lo and behold at some point when the price is down the restriction comes off.

I have seen this over and over and rather than change brokers I am learning to use this manipulation as an advantage.
