It's been done before, fung. Somebody got pr wire to publish a fake report about a company and a non-existent merger. SEC busted them.

Wouldn't put it past slurp to have pulled this one.

I remember the Emulex hoax. But that was really released via a PR company. That got the SEC and the FBI in a dither tout sweet.

Yes, it's been tried by several people trying to pump or dump a stock price. Those people have ended up in jail.

Perhaps we should do some investigating and report our findings to the SEC.

I'm trying to recall if I'd ever seen this tried before?
