Many companies already have, and I wouldn't rule out Apple, yet. Their design launch cadence and Intel's don't necessarily line up. By the way, Newegg is already selling an impressive Netbook lineup:

I see Atom being an ongoing product, well past the 32nm node. The product is already very competitive, and going forward things only get better.
