the following is a pretty good read, IMO ...

In 2001 you made Wayne CEO of eMachines. At the time he'd been senior vice president of merchandising at Best Buy. Now he's CEO of Gateway. And he's brought a couple of execs with him to Gateway who are former Best Buy execs....

You have a point, GW did allow themselves to get involved in some way with EDIG, so you have to doubt the intelligence of at least a few over there.

So let's take the opposite approach. GW is a bunch of bumbling idiots who managed to screw up a "sure-fire", "can't miss" EDIG designed greatest MP3 player ever built. Does that make you feel better? Would that and the two-bits your stock is worth make you all warm and fuzzy inside?

It is funny how this comes on the heels of those idiots at F-T screwing up that great product. Why do you suppose EDIG can only cut deals with folks who don't know what they are doing?

I'll ignore the obvious that F-T and GW were both touted on this board as "huge opportunities" and great companies in their fields when the deals were announced. Now both companies are clueless!!!!

I was wondering how long it would be before folks started breaking bad on GW.
