How many did he start with? 500K? You got to admit, he bailed, got canned(?), or "retired" ;) in January at a pretty good time. In light of the distinct possibility management has been receiving intense pressure this year to finally report increases in production, especially after all those PR's, starting in January, talking about big production rates which were occurring, or anticipated to occur, not being around to take the heat for that as an Officer would be good. And, he doesn't have to be around for the AGM which, if its still same ole same ole with no appreciable production increases reported and consequential anemic stock prices (near 52 week low), may have some up tight shareholders. JMHO.
