I guess someone at Fidelity looked at the prices and said "Uh oh. It's dropped from in the 90s to the 40s, time to bail!"

sgolds, Fidelity on AMD

You are right about Fidelity, as of 03-31-04 FMR decreased its position in AMD by (6,006,315) shares or (32,06%). I think they started dumping AMD shares after touching 52-week high. At the same time FMR was accumulating Intel shares (10,66%).
