Bear is right
Mastermind -- good idea to go back and check out how the market has acted historically to previous rate hikes. May seem counterintuitive to the uninitiated or inexperienced, but that's the way it'll work. If for no reason other than the fact that that's the way the institutional money is going to play it.
For now, volume has shrunk and we're "stuck", as those who wanted to sell chucked everything over the side of the boat already, and because the buyers refuse to step in yet ... not until (1) oil peaks, (2) there is better visibility into how the Iraq handover on June 30 will go, and (3) they get a confidence signal from the Fed on how many basis points it plans on adding -- which in turn won't happen until they make the first hike.
So the big money sits on the sideline patiently waiting.
